Lemon Basil

TTCF farmers use lemon basil all the time. It is often served with rice and other dishes, much like you would garnish something with cilantro. Try it in a potato soup or in the pesto recipe below.

STORAGE: All basil is tricky to store well. It is best eaten, made into tea, or turned into pesto right away. If you must store it, place it in a jar of water like a bouquet and keep it on your counter. It may wilt some but it will still be tasty.

RECIPE: Lemon Basil Pesto from Sweet Phi

There's no better way to use up a bunch of basil than with pesto. Check out this recipe for a zesty version.
